From The Texas NARO Report
I hope all of you will mark your calendar and plan to be with us in Irving, Texas at the Sheraton on June 26th, 27th and 28th. Get out that Tortoiseshell Samsonite, gas up the Packard and plan to be here. We are going to put on a show. I want to thank all that have made reservations on just having the dates here in the newsletter, without the formal announcement. I was told the other day we already had 1/3 of the rooms booked. We got you a great rate of $99 a night for the rooms and they even have indoor plumbing at that price.

Irving Texas Caucus Resolution |
| |
NARO-Texas Members Ratify Resolutions at Caucus in Irving, TX The Following Resolutions were Ratified by the Texas Caucus: 1. Will endorse and actively support, legislative or regulatory efforts to remove the veil of confidentiality from contractual agreements between natural gas producers and transporter/purchasers. 2. Will endorse and support any legislative or regulatory initiatives that would strengthen oversight of Intrastate natural gas affiliate sales transactions. 3. Will, because of nationwide concern over the increasing gap between wellhead and end-user prices, commit effort and resources to better inform and educate State government officials, Royalty Owners, Independent Producers and the General Public regarding this critical issue. The Texas Natural Resources Code Sections J & L cover the law regarding "Payment for Proceeds of Sale" and "Royalty Reporting Standards" and are the resource for the mineral and royalty owner. Now you can download them in a PDF format from here: Sections J & L (Download PDF File) The National Association of Division Order Analysts and NARO adopted the NADOA Model Form Division Order 9/95. The latest revision of this document with the new tax rate is now available: NADOA Model Form Division Order (Download PDF File) In late 2001 NARO-Texas sat down with the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TxOGA) and the Texas Railroad Commission to produce an informational brochure for producers outlining their responsibilities regarding royalty reporting. That brochure is now completed and you can download it in a PDF format from here: Royalty Reporting Requirements in Texas (Download PDF File)
